Shallow footing systems are prone to damage due to the shrinking and swelling of the ground. Through multiphysics modelling, the concept of sustainability and prefabrication have been applied to develop innovative design of residential footings.
The mapping of potential natural and anthropogenic ground movement hazards is a major concern for risk prevention plans. This project aims to monitor and assess possible geohazards including reactive soil movements, subsidence, landslides and other types of ground motion that affects our communities.
